How it can be used:
For pimples and skin diseases
The most common use of tea tree oil is against pimples, skin blemishes and inflammatory skin diseases. This is mainly due to the antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of tea tree oil.
Dab pimples with diluted oil on a make-up remover pad carefully several times a day. For blemishes and inflammatory skin conditions on the face, you can dissolve 2 to 3 drops of tea tree oil in some lukewarm water in the morning and evening and clean your face with a sponge. You can also put a few drops of tea tree oil directly on a damp make-up remover pad and rub it on the affected areas. If the whole body is affected, simply add 10 drops to the bath water and let it work for half an hour.
For insect bites
Certain essential oils not only keep insects away with their intense scent, they can also relieve discomfort after an insect bite. Tea tree oil, along with lavender and eucalyptus oils, are especially good for reducing itching.
Apply some diluted tea tree oil directly to the sting and leave it on. Repeat several times a day until the discomfort subsides.
Against cold
For the common cold, inhalation with tea tree oil will help. Simply add a few drops of tea tree oil to water for inhalation. The steam is also good for irritated skin around the nose.
Against itchy, flaky scalp
If the scalp itches and dandruff forms, it is irritated and inflamed. Tea tree oil soothes the scalp thanks to its anti-inflammatory agents. Simply add 5 drops of tea tree oil to the shampoo and wash the hair thoroughly with it.
